Wrex

Some problems can’t be negotiated. They just get stared down… and then removed from the board.

Wrex is pure krogan pragmatism, armored in scars, muscle, and hard-earned patience. No speeches, no illusions about heroics, just survival instincts sharpened into leadership. I wanted this to read less like a victory pose and more like a pause between firefights, the moment where he’s already decided how this ends.

On the paint side, I kept the reds desaturated and dusty, pushing wear and texture over clean contrast. The armor got layered highlights and controlled grime, while the skin leaned leathery and uneven to sell that krogan toughness. The lava base adds a quiet heat underfoot, not flashy, just pressure. A restrained piece overall, trusting the sculpt and letting Wrex’s presence do the talking.
