A lament from the Silver Surfer

🌌 A LAMENT FROM THE SILVER SURFER 🏄‍♂️
I warned them.

Reed Richards, ever the optimist. Susan Storm, full of resolve. Johnny blazing with reckless courage. And Ben… noble, stubborn Ben. They stood together, the so-called *Fantastic Four*, ready to defy the inevitable.

They struck down two of my brethren—Heralds who had once soared with me across the stars. For a moment, I believed… perhaps they could succeed where others had failed. Perhaps this world, so loud and chaotic, might endure.

But then—fate twisted.A great threat they thought vanquished *returned*, clogging their path like cosmic gum on the boot of destiny. Chaos erupted. Special actions blocked. KOs spread like wildfire. Overflows spilled across the cities like tidal waves of despair.

Their mission, noble as it was, faltered. They could not stem the tide. The deck of destiny remained largely untouched as my master—Galactus, the Eternal Hunger—took his fill.

He devoured the Earth.
Again.

And I… I could only watch. 🥲
