Sending Galactus packing
Galactus came to devour the Earth… and we sent him packing.
This was one of those big, ridiculous, table-filling scenarios that reminds me exactly why I love this hobby. A massive purple Galactus looming over the board, the Silver Surfer zipping around causing problems, zombies closing in from every direction, and six of us trying to keep the world from ending one bad card draw at a time.
Wolverine and Venom spent most of the game doing what they do best, standing directly in front of cosmic destruction and refusing to move. Iron Man, Nana, and She-Hulk kept the crowds under control while Quicksilver ran the board, grabbing objectives and saving bystanders before everything collapsed.
And yes, there is an asterisk on that victory.
Technically, we died horribly after a brutal zombie ambush draw. But we decided to take a mulligan to keep things rolling. From there we probably only got one rule wrong (sorry, Silver Surfer action deck), and actually pulled off the win.
No shame in a mulligan. No shame in house rules. No shame in learning the scenario as you go. And absolutely no shame in playing with unpainted minis when the table looks this fun.
Galactus defeated*.
Earth saved*.
Epic fun.
