Black suit Spider-Man

In the quiet between heartbeats, the symbiote whispers…

Black suit Spidey always hits different. This is the era where Peter’s power comes with a sharper edge, the suit amplifying every instinct, every emotion, every late-night swing through a city that suddenly feels a little too quiet. It’s iconic for a reason, the perfect mix of sleek, alien, and just a little bit dangerous.

Painting this one was such a treat. I love leaning into blues for my black highlights, since comic artists have been doing it forever to make black feel glossy and alive. The sculpt has all these twisting symbiote tendrils, so I pushed a subtle blue glow into the ridges and edges, just enough to make the black read as something more than flat. Whites were kept crisp, blacks stayed rich, and the whole thing comes together in a way that feels… symbiotic 😈🕸️
