Spot

Sometimes the smallest anomaly becomes the biggest problem…
Spot starts as a harmless lab mishap, drifting between dimensions with his living patchwork of portals. But Across the Spider-Verse leans into the chaos he carries, showing how every dot hides a doorway and every doorway hides a threat. He’s a walking reminder that even the “joke” villains can rewrite the whole story if you give them enough momentum.

Painting him turned into a playful puzzle, since the sculpt invites you to treat his body like a moving doorway. The real challenge was making that rocket trail feel like it disappears into a spot on his side and bursts out through his hand… almost like the mini is solving its own visual joke in real time. Keeping the suit crisp while shaping those portals took some patience, but landing that inside-to-outside effect was definitely worth it.
