Blitz Bowl hits the table

Blitz Bowl finally hit the table yesterday. It’s exactly the kind of game I’ve been looking for (fast, tactical, just enough chaos). It feels like that sweet spot where I can bring in non-hobby friends without a full rules deep dive, but still get those satisfying “wait… that actually worked?” moments.

Battle report: Humans vs Skaven. Started as a steady back-and-forth… then the play opened up. A short, accurate pass and run for a touchdown, followed by a couple well-timed bonus cards, and it snowballed into a mercy rule win for the Humans (I’ll take it 😄).

There’s also something different about seeing a full team painted and actually in play. Less display shelf, more lived-in story on the board.

Now the real question… how many teams is too many?
